Notice on Applying for Social Insurance Subsidy for Start-ups
Applicants: The four types of start-ups, including small and micro businesses, privately or individually-owned businesses, farmer cooperatives, and private non-enterprise units, that are registered in Shanghai within 36 months since December 1, 2018.
Subsidy criteria and duration: 1. 50% of the pension, medical and unemployment insurance fees paid based on 60% of the last year’s average monthly salary for employees in Shanghai by employers that are small and micro businesses, privately or individually-owned businesses and private non-enterprise units shall be subsidized; 50% of the pension and medical insurance fees paid based on 60% of the last year’s average monthly salary for employees in Shanghai by employers that are farmer cooperatives shall be subsidized. 2. The number of grantees of the social insurance subsidy for each start-up can be determined based on the number of local workers this start-up employs and the amount of social insurance for urban employees paid by this start-up, with the maximum no larger than 8. The subsidy duration will be limited to 36 months from the date of registration.
