He is also director of Shanghai Public Security Bureau and is in charge of public security, judicial administration, social stability and road traffic safety.

He supervises the Municipal Public Security Bureau, the Municipal Justice Bureau and the Municipal Prison Administration. He works closely with Shanghai High People’s Court and Shanghai Procuratorate.

Shu Qing, male, Man minority, a CPC member, born in October 1964. Shu was a postgraduate and holds a degree of Doctor of Science. He is currently an alternate member of the 19th CPC Central Committee, Vice Mayor of Shanghai, Party Secretary, Director and Inspector General of the Municipal Public Security Bureau, and President of Shanghai Public Security Academy.
