Tang Zhiping, vice mayor of Shanghai, is in charge of housing, urban and rural construction and management, planning and natural resources, water affairs, transportation, greenery and sanitation, ecological environment, civil defense and meteorology
He supervises the municipal housing, urban and rural construction administration commission, the municipal bureau of urban administration and law enforcement, the municipal housing management bureau, the municipal planning and natural resources bureau, the municipal water affairs bureau (the municipal ocean bureau), the municipal transportation commission and road transport administration, the municipal greenery and sanitation administration bureau (the municipal forestry bureau), the municipal bureau of ecology and environment and the municipal civil defense office (the municipal air defense office).
Tang Zhiping, male, Han Chinese, a CPC member, was born in Shanghai in November 1965. Tang began to work in March 1990. He holds a Masters degree of engineering and a qualification certificate for senior engineers. He is now a vice mayor of Shanghai.
Tang served as the deputy chief engineer, assistant director and deputy head of Shanghai Urban Planning Management Bureau. He was also appointed as deputy head of Xuhui District, a member of the Standing Committee of Xuhui District, deputy director of Shanghai Development and Reform Commission, director of Shanghai Municipal Prices Bureau, deputy Party secretary of the citys construction and transportation Party committee, head of Shanghai Construction and Transportation Commission and Shanghai Construction Management Commission, head of Shanghai Construction and Transportation Commission. He once worked as deputy Party secretary, head and Party secretary of Huangpu District, deputy secretary-general of Shanghai government, head of Shanghai Development and Reform Commission, secretary of the Party leaders group of the commission, deputy secretary-general of Shanghai CPC Committee, secretary-general of Shanghai government, director and secretary of the Party leaders group of the General Office of Shanghai government and director of Shanghai Sun Yat-sen and Soong Ching-ling Cultural Relics Management Committee, and among others.
